Chokwe Antar Lumumba

On Tuesday, May 2, democratic candidate Chokwe Antar Lumumba garnered 55% of the votes cast in Jackson's Democratic primary, thus becoming the presumed mayor of the capitol city.

So, how did his message resonate so much to negate the need for a run-off, and how will he foster a collective energy -- including across real and perceived racial divides -- to move the city forward?

Join us on Wednesday, May 10, to hear his vision for Jackson.

All are welcome and Jackson 2000 members are encouraged to bring guests; we look forward to your feedback.

Time: 11:45 AM to 1 PM
